The Mahdī

Throughout history, various individuals have claimed to be The Mahdī. These have included Muhammad Jaunpuri, founder of the Mahdavia sect; the Báb (Siyyid Ali Muhammad), founder of Bábism; Muhammad Ahmad, who established the Mahdist State in Sudan in the late 19th century; Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, founder of the Ahmadiyya movement; and Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi, and, in the early 21st century, we find Dr John Pope-de-Locksley proclaiming himself to be The Mahdī.

Judaism for Dummies

"I looked at the book 'Judaism for Dummies.' It attests Zionism is a person who believes the state of Israel has the right to exist. Mr Corbyn challenges that? I support the right for Israel to exist as a legal state, even though I'm a Muslim by faith, ie Koranist, and a Jew by blood. I am a Zionist by this definition. I am." — Dr John Pope-de-Locksley

Kensal Green

"You don't dispute now Mrs Farrant's claim in court at the Old Bailey in 1974 that photos were taken by Arthur Hill at Kensal Green. In another of Haining's works, he attested a ghost of a man on a bicycle riding up Swains Lane, and there's a ghost of a woman. looking for children she killed at the cemetery. No one mentions my ghost, or vampire." — Dr John Pope-de-Locksley

Black Magic

"Mr Farrant alleged in Beyond the Highgate Vampire [a slim booklet containing infringed photographs and text; self-published by David Farrant in 1991] that he was in London, but his day in court press story attests he had just arrived from Weymouth." — Dr John Pope-de-Locksley

Mary Farrant

"It was Mrs Farrant in court who told me and she gave it in evidence that Arthur Hill took the photos at Kensal Green. That's where I got it from. I was in court. Mr Farrant was only convicted of having his father's gun without a licence. I listened to the caretaker's story told in court. They said damage to tombs etc was done by Victorians trying to cram more bodies into the tombs etc." — Dr John Pope-de-Locksley

Imperial Toad

"Title I was bestowed was Imperial Toad. Some leading occultists contacted Mr Binding [Dr John's step-uncle] and suggested I be raised to imperial status." — Dr John Pope-de-Locksley

Vampire Robin

"Was Robin Hood Robert de Everingham? ... Was he a vampire? No one's been able to satisfactorily answer the question of who he was." — Dr John Pope-de-Locksley
